Thought of the day #15

Cory and I completed 8 weeks of Dynamic Marriage class. We took this class 20 years ago and just like then made a commitment to do the work to get the most out of the class. I was reminded of so much that relationships, especially couples, take intentionality to keep it growing and maturing. As a wife I contribute a lot to the energy in my home.

When I am critical and ungrateful of my husband it shows. When I lack to see the good and focus on the negative it shows.

The class made me grateful for the people who over the years invested time and energy into helping my husband and I have a marriage where we are committed to meeting each other's needs.

Being one with each other is a daily choice, it means working through roadblocks, holding each other in high regard, getting help when needed, consistently investing in the health of our marriage.

I am grateful for those who taught me that for relationships to mature we must invest in them. I can be one with my husband because we make time to work in continuing growth.

“That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
